Chloride ingress follows Fick's second law with time-dependent apparent diffusivity, C(x,t) = C_s − (C_s − C₀)·erf( x / 2√(D·t) ), where D(t) = D_RCM·(t₀/t)^α (t₀ = 28 d, α per binder type). The carbonation front advances as x_c = K·√t. Service life = time to depassivation at the bar depth (C(c,t) ≥ C_crit, or x_c ≥ c) plus the propagation period entered above. C_s is auto-set from the selected chloride class and may be overridden with project data.
